Michael E. Morrissey is a founding partner with the firm of Kesner, Godes & Morrissey, LLC; a full service accounting firm located in Randolph, Massachusetts. Michael specializes in providing accounting, tax and business planning services to high net worth individuals and business owners.
Michael has testified as an expert witness, consulted regarding sales and acquisitions, provided significant tax savings strategies, successfully defended collection activity and audits from IRS and various states involving significant potential liability, authored articles and lectured on tax planning strategies for investors, entrepreneurs and business owners.
Kesner, Godes & Morrissey, LLC currently services various industries with a focus on professional services and real estate. Michael is the managing partner overseeing all aspects of the firm. The firm is subject to the peer review requirements of the AICPA and MSCPA and has successfully passed all such reviews with unqualified opinions since inception of the firm.
MARK KESNER, CPA, MST

In the fall of 2000, Mark Kesner joined with Michael Godes and Michael Morrissey to form the firm of Kesner, Godes and Morrissey, LLC, a full service accounting firm catering to small business and individuals located throughout the New England area. Mark is well known for providing quality, and timely tax services as well as financial statements, audit engagements, and business valuations.
1978 to 2000 – Principal of Mark Kesner, CPA PC., where Mark was responsible for the management of the accounting firm, financial statement preparation and review, tax preparation, tax planning, and compliance providing expert witness testimony. In addition, Mark was responsible for adding financial planning and estate planning services to the practice.
1977 to 1978 – Employed as Chief Accountant & Director of Finance for GRI Computer Corporation, a computer manufacturing and OEM company. GRI was a publicly traded company. Responsibilities there included preparation of monthly financial statements, organization of workpapers for the outside auditing firm, Arthur Anderson & Company, and preparation of 10-Q, quarterly compliance reports required to be sent to Securities & Exchange Commission. Other responsibilities included the overseeing of the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments, and cash management services with State Street Bank.
1972 to 1977 – Employed by William Gabovitch & Company, a medium size CPA firm. His position led him to be Accounting Manager in charge of a staff of six. Clients of the firm were broad based including the following industries: medical, retail, legal, manufacturing, hotels, nursing homes, and construction. Responsibilities included preparation of financial statements, tax preparation, tax defense and compliance, and planning issues.
In 1972 Mark Kesner graduated Boston College (Cum Laude) with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In 1983 he received Master of Science Taxation from Bentley College.
